Job Title

Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide surgical technologist support across a 22-room OR department staffed 24/7, covering a wide range of surgical services including general, gynecology, GU, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
Demonstrate competency in at least 5 of the listed surgical service lines
Support Level 1 trauma cases as required by the department
Participate in call shifts and weekend coverage on a rotating basis
Maintain a positive attitude, flexibility, and excellent communication skills in a fast-paced surgical environment
May float to other OR campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of inpatient surgical experience required
Level 1 trauma experience required
Active NBSTSA certification required — no other surgical tech certification will be accepted
BLS certification required
Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local rate
Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible to be submitted as travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

Competency across multiple surgical specialties, particularly in high-acuity or complex service lines
Experience working in a high-volume, 24/7 OR environment
Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying shift lengths and start times
